JUNGLE RETREAT
with Niki Cohen & Nicole Lovald
February 11-18th, 2023
Tiskita Jungle Lodge
Punta Banco, Costa Rica
Spend a week in nature, taking a break from your busy life to experience the Pura Vida vibe of Costa Rica. Nestled between the rainforest and the pacific ocean, enjoy the wonders of the jungle, the uncrowded beaches, and beautiful sunsets.

This retreat will provide you with an opportunity to disconnect from the busyness of your life to delve deeper into your yoga practice. With two daily yoga classes, you will spend time reconnecting with YOU and nurturing your body-mind-and spirit.
Enjoy time to relax without being over-scheduled and simply retreat and unwind. Befriend the monkeys and other jungle inhabitants, walk through the gardens full of banana trees or fill your day with adventure activities (optional).
The eco-friendly lodge is on 800 acres of private biological reserve, complete with an organic orchard. Tiskita Jungle Lodge is well known in Southern Costa Rica for the restoration work of their beautiful property. Your private Casita will be complete with a private bathroom and your very own hammock. The meals are incredibly delicious and often include fruits and vegetables from the gardens onsite as well as locally caught fish. The kitchen can accommodate gluten and dairy-free as well as other dietary restrictions.
You will be nurtured and well-cared for on this retreat. Nicole and Niki will guide you through daily yoga including meditation, breathwork, yin, flow, restorative and Hatha practices. Each day's theme and practices will help you dive deeper into yourself to allow for greater connection and a renewed spirit.
Daily Yoga Practices:

Niki and Nicole will mindfully be leading morning and afternoon yoga classes based on the needs of the day. If it has been hot and busy, class might be slower and more gentle. If the group is wanting something more invigorating, the class might be more stimulating and challenging. They will be teaching you to live your yoga on and off mat, finding balance with nature and the energy of the day.
Your practice will include enjoying nourishing food, community and supporting people and a venue that are integrated into the sustainability of the Costa Rican rainforest. We have immense gratitude and appreciation for what teaching there is in living in nature in Costa Rica. You will have the chance to truly "live your yoga" while you are on this retreat.
Testimonials:

A retreat with Nicole and Niki won't disappoint you wherever you go for the retreat. You'll go home feeling more "full" of experience than when you arrived and they both invite you to engage in the practice and experience at your own pace which means nobody should feel worried or concerned about spending a week with two amazing yogi's!

Niki and Nicole share a beautiful yoga partnership, working seamlessly together. They lovingly infused kindness, compassion, expertise and laughter into each day, and every practice. Offering alternative poses and prop options to anyone who is coping with an injury or challenge involves paying close attention to their students during practice, and both Niki and Nicole are adept at this! Their sincere and loving hearts were softly palpable throughout our time together. I look forward to the next time...

Logistics:
Tiskita Jungle Lodge is located at the southernmost tip of Costa Rica on the Pacific side, in Punta Banco. It is a small and remote community nestled between the jungle and beautiful beaches. There are no high rise buildings, big hotels, or shopping malls around - you are in for an authentic experience.

There are several ways to get there. All transportation costs and arrangements are your responsibility. Here’s a few options…
~Fly into San Jose airport (SJO) and then take a domestic flight from there to Golfito on Sansa Air (40-minute flight). A shuttle will then drive you to through the remote community of Pavones (famous for being #2 in the world for having a left break for surfing) to Punta Banco. The shuttle is about a 90-minute trip. Once you arrive you can kick off your shoes and sink into paradise. The lodge can arrange the shuttle for you.

~Fly into San Jose airport (SJO) and then take a private plane (fits 3-4 passengers) directly to the airstrip at the lodge. The private flight costs $1250-$1380 each way and that cost is shared between passengers ($624-$920 round trip for each passenger). Let us know if you’d like more info on this option.

~Fly into San Jose airport (SJO) and take a public bus (it’s a nice bus) to the lodge. This is a 8-10 hour ride, which gives lots of opportunity to relax and enjoy the scenery. You get dropped off right at the front of the property. The ride is about $20 each way.
